Produced in 2017, the KLM Jofiel Liveaboard is made with a touch of the classic Bugis Phinisi ship design.
Unlike the old classic phinisi which relied on 7 sails as the main power for sailing, the KLM Jofiel Liveaboard is a combination of modern and traditional design, so the main strength is the engine.
The engine is powered by a Mitsubishi 6-cylinder 6D/16 engine which makes this 41-gross-ton ship wither at a speed of 8 knots per hour. The performance of the ship's engine with a clean water capacity of up to 2000 liters is strengthened by generators of 10 and 7,5 kva and a 2 x 25 kva dynamo.
