"Our policy regarding halal tourism is oriented towards increasing services. So we are focused on the last 18 months, we must join hands to enter first place.

"We are publishing a Muslim-friendly tourism guidebook in 5 favorite destinations," said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno in his remarks at the Islamic Digital Day 2022 event, Wednesday (21/9/2022).

The guidebooks as the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy's strategy to encourage Muslim-friendly tourism are in physical and non-physical form or e-books. This book contains information that can guide tourists to recognize 5 super priority destinations in Indonesia, namely Lake Toba, Borobudur, Labuan Bajo, Mandalika and Likupang.

"In general, this book contains the attractions of each destination, then what activities can be done, then what culinary delights are the favorites, including souvenirs. Muslim-friendly Tourism is Different from Religious Tourism.

Then what makes it different from other books is the facilities or amenities. "Here we will mention what Muslim-friendly tourist facilities there are," explained Amicale Lifestyle International Senior Consultant Hafizuddin Ahmad, giving an explanation about this book on the same occasion.

Furthermore, he explained that a Muslim-friendly guide book was made on-desk research aka research without visiting or surveying directly in the field.

Therefore, they still cannot say much about the facilities in the field. "So in terms of attractiveness, we can't tell you about the facilities because we haven't visited them," he added.
